My Philosophy

Remedy’s Mission:

Remedy Health and Wellness exists to help people with chronic pain and inflammation create their own remedy stories through educating, inspiring, and empowering them toward a vibrant healthy future.

Remedy’s Vision:

Remedy Health and Wellness offers health coaching through whole food nutrition and restorative movement so our clients can live healthy, whole lives.

I agree with Dr. Mark Hyman when he said, “Chronic disease is a food borne illness. We ate our way into this mess, and we must eat our way out.”

My journey has led me here, combining Health Coaching with Physical Therapy. Proper Nutrition was the main key to unlocking what ailed me and I believe it is so powerful that I am passionate about how it fits into the Physical Therapy realm of treating pain and inflammation.


Remedy’s nutritional coaching focuses on eating real food. As a society, we suffer from information overload on healthy living and healthy eating. Remedy gets back to the basics of nutrition for you. Simplicity in life and food is important. Whether you call these diet trends or a lifestyle, the Zone, Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, Ketogenic, Gluten-Free, and Organic diets each have one equal redeeming quality: eating the best quality whole foods possible. In Remedy’s program, you will eat real food.  The above diets are not one size fits all and we customize your nutrition program to meet your body’s specific needs.  Our bodies benefit best from whole, nutrient dense foods to heal and balance the gut and hormones. Since our gut is the second brain, this balance will extend to the rest of our body.

Nutrition Tips 101:

  1. Eat A LOT of veggies
  2. Healthy fat is our friend
  3. Just say NO to sugar

Restorative Movement 

Physical Therapy in its simplest form is providing exercise that is restorative in nature. When you have chronic pain and inflammation, the last thing you want to do is move. The fear of hurting more is a powerful non-motivator for exercise. However, did you know that movement is one of the best things for your pain? Through movement, joints get lubrication and oxygen, while muscles get oxygenated and gain strength to avoid atrophy. A sedentary lifestyle leads to stagnate joints that become inflamed even more thus continuing on in the pain and inflammatory cycle. Remedy’s program aims to help you regain posture, core strength, oxygen, energy, and function, the very things that get lost when you stop moving.

Exercise tips 101:

  1. Find what you like to do for exercise
  2. Find a friend to do it with
  3. Keep moving and never give up
